The outlet claims Taylor-Johnson is set to take over Daniel Craig’s role as James Bond, all the 33-year-old needs to do is sign on the dotted line.

“Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back,” a source told The Sun.

“Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement,” they added.

Rumors about Taylor-Johnson, who previously starred in the 2010 film Kick-Ass and the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron, potentially becoming the next Bond began swirling shortly after it became known Craig would exit the franchise.

However, when asked about the possibility of playing 007, Taylor-Johnson said he had “to go to the beat of my own drum.”

“It’s my own path, what feels intuitive to me,” he added. “I’ve never made a decision based on other people’s perspectives, or their judgments, or their expectations of me.”
